Manage Organization Members

Overview

This guide provides information to existing Matillion Hub customers who want to view and manage their organization's members. It describes the process a member is required to follow when accepting an invitation to join an organization and provides tabular information about automated messages customers will receive.

Note

Each member can join a maximum of five organizations.


View and manage members of an organization

All Matillion Hub admin roles can manage members of their organization. This includes sending invitations and viewing privileges. To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to your Matillion Hub account. New users should click Sign Up to register with the Matillion Hub.

  1. On the My Organizations page, select your organization.

  2. Click Members in the sidebar on the left, and a list of your organization members will be displayed.


Invite a member to an organization

All Matillion Hub admin roles can invite members to their organization, so they can access the intended organization's products and services. To invite members, follow the steps below.

  1. Access the Members page for your organization, as described in View and manage members of an organization above.

  2. At the top-right, click Invite Member.

  3. The Invite Member dialog will appear. Enter the intended user's email address, and use the toggle buttons under Permissions to choose their access rights.

  4. Under Services, select if you want the intended user to access Matillion Data Loader. Choose the level of access you want them to have by selecting either No Access or selecting the User or Administrator role.

  5. Click Send Invite.

A toast notification will appear in the bottom-right of the page, informing you that the invitation email has been sent to the user successfully. For more information, read Appendix: Invitation message information.


Accept an invitation to join an organization

All users can accept an invitation email to sign up and log in to Matillion Hub, where they can join an organization. To accept an invite, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the invitation email from Matillion Hub, and click the link inviting you to join the intended organization. If you are a new Matillion Hub user, you will now need to register for a new account before you can accept the invitation to join an
    organization.

  2. Log in to your Matillion Hub account. If you are an existing user, this completes the process. If you are a new Matillion Hub user, continue to the next step.

  3. New users will receive a confirmation email with a link to Verify my email address. Click this link to join the intended organization. If you have not received an email confirmation, return to Matillion Hub, and click Resend Email.

Note

A new user will be asked to confirm personal details, such as Name, Job Title and the current Country they are located in. Follow the registration process to add these details.

The My Organizations page will be displayed, where an Invitation Accepted pop-up message will appear as confirmation. For more information, read Appendix: Invitation message information. A list of your organizations will be displayed, including the new one you have joined, and the previously pending invitation will automatically be removed.


Appendix: Invitation message information

The table below shows the pop-up messages a customer will receive when they are sent an invitation email to join an organization.

Message Status Description
Invitation Accepted Confirmation the member has joined the intended organization.
Invitation Expired The member's invitation to join the intended organization has expired. Contact an administrator who will send a new invitation email.
Unable to Join An error has occurred upon the member joining the intended organization. Try accepting the invitation request again, and if the problem still occurs, contact an administrator, who will send a new invitation email.
